Sedgley Champions after Memorable Victory In Division 1 of the Worhtington Sponsored West Midlands Snooker League, Sedgley were crowned champions. They came out on top in the final match decider by defeating Masters 4-1. Sedgley flew straight out of the starting blocks taking the first four frames with wins from David Hall, John Read, Daniel Ward and Reanne Evans to take the title. Karl Coleman climed the final frame for Masters. In Woodcross`s Match against The Jade Rooms. Elliot Bastable produced a fantastic clearance of 135 taking the high break prize. Division 3 Chamipons are Whitmore Reans after they produced a fine display winning 5-0 against Fordhouses A. Alan Brown, Terry Warr, Ray Bishop, Steph Adams and Bob Homer were the men in form . Runners up were Bushbury with their 4-1 win against RAFA. Gary Cromar, Nigel Morgan, Perry Robinson and Dave Bolshaw sent their team to victory. In Division 4 it’s Wednesfield Social who will be promoted along with Masters. They defeated Tettenhall 4-1. Bilston Lab B were crowned champions in Division 5 after a 3-2 victory against Amery. Simon Showell, Stuart Parton and Darren Peake claimed the frames for Bilston. Roy Garrett and Keith Poston (Jnr) were Amery’s winners. ECC C sneaked into the runners up spot in Division 6 after a 3-2 win against Fordhouses. Matt Baugh, Brendan McLaughlin and Ron Lote won for the ECC with Gary Marshall and Pete Davis winning for Fordhouses. In Division 7 Old Wulfs claimed the runners up spot behind British Rail with a 3-2 win at Oaklands. Bill Shackell, Paul Krawczyk and Nick Phillips won for Old Wulfs. |
